Freelance Math Editor Local to Waltham, MA

Short Description:

Brown Publishing Network, a leading K-12 textbook developer, is seeking a freelance math editor to work with in-house staff in the development and production of high-quality textbooks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Edit, copyfit, and respond to copyedit queries on teacher edition pages for Algebra I and Algebra II programs. Work with content manager to finalize pages for Production. Adhere to program guidelines. Will work under supervision of in-house managers. Work will be done on hard copy page proof; patches to be prepared as needed.

Required Experience:

Previous experience editing high school math textbooks and knowledge of publishing production process required.

Salary/Hours:

Must be able to pick up and return materials to/from our office near Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. Project is expected to run through end of March, with additional projects possible after that time. Competitive hourly rate will be commensurate with experience.
