Senior Editor, Science

Short Description:

Nesbitt Graphics, Inc., a full-service development house, is seeking a Senior Science Editor for Levels 4-8.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As Senior Editor, Science, you will be responsible for overseeing Science projects. Emphasis will be on developing guidelines for writers to follow, guiding writers in how to meet guidelines and produce pedagogically sound manuscript, and editing manuscript for submission to publisher. Senior editor may hire freelance writers, monitor schedules and workflow, and work with art and production departments.

Required Experience:

Ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Science or Science Education, 3 - 5 years teaching experience, and 5 or more year's editorial experience in educational publishing. Must be highly organized and enjoy multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Experience editing and overseeing and directing writers a must.

Salary/Hours:

Nesbitt Graphics offers an excellent salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience.

We can work this as either an in-house position in our Ft. Washington, PA location (preferred) or as an off-site position.
