Freelance Copyeditor or Proofreader (offsite)

Short Description:

John Wiley & Sons is seeking freelancers to copyedit or proofread life sciences journal(s) encompassing such topics as biology, biomedical sciences, neuroscience, and ecology. Only those with experience in these areas will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Must have experience with electronic copyediting or proofreading, as well as a thorough knowledge of CBE and APA styles. Must be able to receive and return files electronically and must be able to copyedit or proofread Microsoft Word document files electronically. Experience working directly with authors during copyediting or proofreading is a plus. Experience working on journals and/or on projects of a cyclical nature is imperative. Must be detail-oriented, efficient, and deadline driven.
